Wildcat Strikes Affect Brussels Airport
13th April 2007 Reports of travel chaos at Brussels airport today as security staff and the airport's fire brigade call a wildcat strike. The strike action, which is a protest over what the unions claim is poor treatment from management, is seriously affecting all traffic to the airport.Most outbound flights have been either cancelled or delayed and inbound flights have been redirected to other airports.
Talks between the two sides are under way to try to end the strike, officials said.
