Updated Airport Security Advice

2nd July 2007 Manchester Airport:
-------------------
Manchester Airport is operating with additional security measures following advice from the Home Office.

Parking restrictions are currently in place outside all terminal buildings. Customers wishing to pick up or drop off passengers will be redirected to the car parks.

We are advising all passengers to arrive at the airport at least 20 minutes earlier for their flight and to bear with us through these extra security measures. Manchester Airport already has strict procedures for passenger pick up.

BAA Airports:
-------------
BAA’s seven UK airports (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Southampton) are today operating as normal with a full schedule of flights. All terminals are open and operating well.

At Glasgow the airport is fully operational, though some flights have been delayed as a result of disruption on Saturday and Sunday. The forecourt at Glasgow remains a crime scene and is closed to all vehicles.

Forecourt restrictions remain in place at all BAA’s airports and BAA is advising passengers to take public transport if possible. Those passengers travelling by private car are advised to allow extra time for their journey to the airport.
