12th March 2007 Following a derailment at Grayrigg on Friday 23rd February, repairs have now been completed to the track and lineside equipmentFrom the start of service today (Monday 12th March) Virgin Trains and ScotRail sleeper services are now operating to their normal timetables on routes between Carlisle and Preston

Tebay Derailment - Latest Travel Updates

Following the derailment of a passenger train between Preston and Carlisle on Friday 23 February, services between Lancaster and Carlisle have been suspended.
On Monday 26th February, Virgin West Coast services will be replaced with buses between Lancaster and Penrith, and Virgin Cross Country services will be replaced with buses between Preston and Carlisle. Local services will also be affected.
