Qantas strike cancelled

12th May 2011 Qantas engineers' unioin cancel planned strike action.

SYDNEY, 12 May 2011:

Qantas has reinstated all cancelled and delayed flights tomorrow after the Australian Licenced Aircraft Engineers Association (ALAEA) advised the airline this afternoon that it would no longer take strike action.

Union-led work stoppages involving its 1600 members were planned for 8am-9am tomorrow, prompting Qantas to cancel 31 flights, impacting 2500 passengers and delaying 46 flights.
