Nigerian Visas Update

28th February 2011 From Tuesday 1st March, the Nigerian High Commission are introducing a new process for visa applications.

All visa forms must now be completed online, and visa fees pre-paid by card as part of this process.

All applications must be submitted online by visiting www.immigration.gov.ng and then following the "Apply Online" link. In order to start the application process, all applicants are required to sign in or register with a Google or Yahoo account.

The system also features a payment screen where the visa fee is payable in US dollars. Please note that if the incorrect visa is applied for, then any visa fee paid is non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered by the High Commission for fraudulent or duplicate applications.

The completed process will generate a unique ID and Reference number which should printed along with the form, this is your record of the application. The printout of the form, ID numbers, and payment receipt should then be sent along with your passport and any other documents via the usual method for submission into the High Commission.
