1st March 2006 Virgin Atlantic - Three New Routes Announced:---------------------------------------------------
Virgin Atlantic Airways have confirmed the 27th March 2006 as the launch date for its new Dubai service. The direct flight between Heathrow and Dubai will operate four days a week from 27 March 2006, increasing to five days a week from 1 May and daily from 1 June.
Flights to Dubai will depart from Heathrow at 20:10, arriving into Dubai International Airport at 06:20 the following morning. Return flights depart Dubai at 15:00, arriving into Heathrow at 19.30 the same day.
The service will be operated by an Airbus A340 and will be fitted with Virgin Atlantic's award-winning Upper Class Suite. The Upper Class Suite consists of a reclining leather seat for take off, a place to sit and eat a proper meal opposite your partner, the longest fully flat bed in the world with a proper mattress for sleeping on, a private onboard bar to drink at with your friends and a private massage area.
Virgin Atlantic Airways have also announced that it will be introducing an additional daily JFK service from 1st July 2006, increasing its flights between Heathrow and New York from five to six a day.
In conjunction with the new JFK service, from the 1st July 2006 the VS009 will change from its current 1805 departure to a new Heathrow departure time of 1600. These changes will allow Virgin Atlantic to bring the VS010 departure from JFK forward to 2125.
In addition to these routes, Virgin Atlantic have also announced that it is due to launch a new route to Montego Bay, Jamaica in July.
Easyjet - Route Expansion:

Easyjet has announced it is launching three new routes to Marrakech, Istanbul and Croatia's third largest city, Rijeka.
Daily services will operate from Gatwick to Marrakech from July 4 and from Luton to Istanbul from June 29 with a four times weekly frequency from Luton to Rijeka beginning on June 30.
