Flights from Tripoli Airport

Call 020 7008 0000 from the UK or 021 3403644/45 from Libya to register for a flight.

If you are unable to get through to the emergency helpline you should travel to the airport immediately if it is safe to do so and contact the British Embassy Team.

A charter plane is arriving in Tripoli today (25 February) to allow the departure of all British nationals. More planes will be sent as necessary.

A second Hercules C-130 is deploying to Malta ready to assist as required.

When you arrive at the airport, make your way to the British Embassy desk which is located outside the VIP lounge at the airport terminal. Look for the British flag. British Embassy staff are wearing high visibility vests.

Take your own food and water as facilities at the airport are limited.

Sea transport from Benghazi

HMS Cumberland departed from Benghazi on Thursday 24 February with 207 passengers, and will return on Saturday 26 February to continue the assisted departure of British nationals. HMS Cumberland will take passengers to Valetta, Malta.

Those in or close to Benghazi who want to leave should call 020 7008 0000 from the UK or 021 3403644/45 to register for departure from Benghazi over the weekend.
