These orders consist of Boeing 777 (both 200 and 300 series), Airbus A330-200, and Boeing 737-800. The interior and exterior of the entire KLM and KLM Cityhopper fleet is to be upgraded at a cost of more than Euro100million.
The ongoing process of upgrading the Boeing 747-400 fleet with “lie-flat” seats in World Business Class is progressing ahead of schedule. 7 aircraft have already been completed, with the remainder of the fleet due to be completed by Autumn 2008. This will bring the World Business Class product into line with the newer aircraft types that have joined the fleet in recent years. The economy cabins in the Boeing 747-400 aircraft will also benefit from enhanced in-flight entertainment systems.
