Hundreds stuck in London Tube derailment

5th July 2007 Hundreds of rail passengers were left stranded when a London Underground train derailed during the morning rush-hour.

Up to six carriages came off the rails on the westbound Central Line between Mile End and Bethnal Green stations at about 0900 BST.

One passenger is reported to have suffered a minor leg injury, according to British Transport Police.

Central Line services are suspended between Leytonstone and Liverpool Street, causing minor delays.
