Greece: Public Workers Strike Closes Airspace

19th March 2008 A dispute by Greek air traffic controllers is expected to close all Greek airspace between 14:00Hrs and 18:00Hrs today, Wednesday 19 March.

Greece is expected to grind to a halt as public sector workers across the country hold a general strike against government-proposed pension reforms.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to take part in the 24-hour action which is predicted to be one of the biggest street protests in decades.
