Greece: ATC Strike to end early
19th October 2011 Greece: Following the issue of new advice earlier this afternoon the 48hr Greek air traffic controllers' strike period has been reduced to 12 hrs ending 1000 tomorrow, Wednesday.Airlines are reinstating flights although passengers should be aware of possible delays.
The UK Foreign Office have issued the following statement:
"Air traffic controllers have announced changes to their participation in the 48 hour general strike and will end a 12 hour work stoppage at 12:00 (noon) on 19 October. Delays and cancellations are still possible. Check with your airline for further information. Air traffic controllers in Greece will continue their 'work to rule' industrial action which may result in passengers experiencing some delays and cancellations at airports. Check with your airline before travelling."
