Germany: Possible Air traffic Control Strike
8th August 2011 ----------------------------------------Strike cancelled. Please see our updated news story.
----------------------------------------
According to a report on the Lufthansa website, there is a possibility of strike action by Germany's association of air traffic controllers on Tuesday, 9th of August.
The strike would take place on Tuesday August 9 between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m.
The timing of some inbound flights to Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf will be rescheduled.
The walk-out was originally planned for last Friday (August 5), but was cancelled after the DFS air traffic authority filed an injunction against the planned industrial action.
If the strike does take place, it is likely to affect flights over Germany as well as those arriving and departing from airports in the country.
