French industrial action: 19-20 March
18th March 2009French Air traffic controllers are set to strike on Thursday 19 March in a national day of strike action. Consequently the French Civil Aviation Authority (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile - DGAC) will limit the number flights handled for each airline during that day.
Air France have confirmed that they will:
operate 100% of its long-haul flights.
On its short- and medium- haul network, Air France will operate nearly all its flights at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and 70 % of its flights at Paris-Orly. Some flights may also have to be cancelled during the day. Other delays may also be possible.
Other carriers are warning of cancellations and delays. Passengers are advised to check with the airline's website or their TD consultant.
