Flybe and bmibaby add extra services from Belfast City
8th September 2010 According a report on Travel Weekly, both Flybe and bmibaby will offer additional services from Belfast City from the end of October following Ryanair's decision to close its base at the airport.Flybe will launch services twice-daily to Bristol, twice-daily to East Midlands and up to four times a day to Liverpool on October 31 and add an extra flight to Glasgow.
Bmibaby will up the frequency of its services to East Midlands, adding five extra flights a week.
EasyJet has also stepped in with a special £10 "rescue fare", which applies to routes where flights overlap with Ryanair's, using EasyJet's services from Belfast International Airport to Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool and Stansted.
Only Stansted and Prestwick of Ryanair's current destinations from Belfast City will be left without replacement flights.
