FCO update travel advice for Jamaica
26th May 2010 British nationals are strongly advised to avoid non-essential travel in and around Kingston.There is currently substantial civil unrest and sporadic gunfire in West Kingston and other areas of the Jamaican capital. This has resulted in a limited State of Emergency has been declared covering Kingston and St Andrew.
UK citizens are strongly advised to avoid all non-essential travel in and around the Kingston area.
