FCO: Strikes in Greece
28th April 2011Ports and rail services in Greece will be affected by strikes on 1 May.
Port workers in Greece are participating in a 24 hour work stoppage on 1 May. Delays and cancellations are expected. Passengers are advised to contact their ferry company for further information.
Rail services in Greece (including the Athens suburban railway) will be suspended for 24 hours on 1 May.
Public and private sector trade unions have announced their participation in a 24 hour general strike on 11 May. Public transport may also be disrupted on this day.
