FCO: Pakistan - protests planned for 8 July
8th July 2011 The UK Foreign Office have released the following update:The Muttahida Qaumi Movement is expected to hold a peaceful demonstration in Karachi on Friday 8 July.
On 7 July, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) announced that it will observe a day of mourning on Friday 8 July to protest the recent killings in Karachi, Pakistan.
There remains a possibility of further violence and British Nationals are advised to remain vigilant at all times.
