Easyjet and Jet2 add new routes

12th July 2010 Easyjet is to launch three new routes from Manchester this winter.

Flights start to Amsterdam on November 1, followed by Hamburg on November 26 and Gothenburg on December 10. The new routes mean the low-cost carrier now offers 22 routes from Manchester. Easyjet says further routes are in the offing.

Jet2 is to launch five new routes from Newcastle Airport for 2011, making it the carrier offering the most international routes from the north east.

The airline will fly to Krakow, Prague, Alicante, Faro and Toulouse. This brings the Jet2 network to 24 destinations.

Prague services start in November this year to coincide with the city’s famous Christmas markets.
