Delays Following Derailment in the York Area
26th September 2006 Following the derailment of a Virgin train in the York area, GNER, Northern Rail, Transpennine Express and Virgin Trains have advised of delays and disruptions.The line has reopened and train services are able to operate again on all routes through York. Residual alterations and delays may still occur.
Although trains are able to run through the affected area, not all lines are open. Delays of up to 30 minutes may be expected.
This is likely to last until 1600 today.
