China airlines start Taipei service

11th March 2010 China Airlines is to start it's fifth European serviceiwth a its new service from London Heathrow to Taiwan's capital city of Taipei from March 28.

It will be the only carrier to serve the route directly, with three-times weekly flights using A340-300 aircraft.

Philip Wei, China Airlines' chairman, said: "As the leading airline in Taiwan, China Airlines is committed to promoting tourism, culture and the economic development of the island."
