British Airways Melbourne Service Transfers To Qantas
20th December 2005 British Airways have advised the TD Travel Group that from March 26, 2006, their daily service from London Heathrow to Melbourne via Singapore will terminate in Singapore. The service to Melbourne will be transferring to Qantas as part of the airlines' Joint Services Agreement. Qantas will now operate two daily flights to Melbourne, one via Singapore (QF 9/10) and one via Hong Kong (QF 29/30).The decision to suspend flights between Singapore and Melbourne is one of several longhaul network changes made recently including an increase in flights to India and China.
British Airways will start to automatically re-accommodate passengers on to the Qantas flights.
