Breaking News: Madrid plane crash
20th August 2008 Reports on the BBC claim that at least 45 people have been killed after a plane skidded off the runway at Madrid's Barajas airport.The aircraft, with more than 160 people on board, belongs to the Spanish Airline, Spanair, and was bound for Gran Canaria.
Local media report the death toll could be much higher with dozens of people injured.
