Bahrain: UK charter flights

17th March 2011 For the latest information please visit the FCO website.

For British Nationals wishing to leave Bahrain, the first option should remain commercial routes. The UK government is chartering planes to supplement commercially available options.

We recommend those British nationals who do not have a pressing reason to remain to leave by commercial means if it is safe to do so. Commercial flights continue to operate to and from Bahrain International Airport (BAH) and the airport remains open and operating normally. See our airline information page.

The UK government is chartering planes to supplement commercially available options. These will be available to assist the departure of British nationals from Bahrain to Dubai on 17 March. If you wish to leave and cannot secure tickets for a commercial flight, you can register your interest in using this route to leave Bahrain by calling +44 20 7008 5900.
There will be a charge of up to £260 per person for this flight. These are supplementary flights to support the commercial flight capacity provided by airlines.

In order to comply with UAE immigration regulations, this option will be available to holders of valid British passports, and dependents of British passport holders who are UAE visa waiver nationals, or have a confirmed onward ticket to the UK. Dependents must also hold a valid British passport.
