All Nippon Airways industrial action
18th March 2009 All Nippon Airways Japan’s largest domestic carrier, will cancel 137 domestic flights today and delay a further 30 after talks with unions failed to halt a planned 24-hour strike.Statement taken from ANA.co.jp

We regret to inform our customers that four pilot unions belonging to ANA Group commenced a 24 hour strike at 0:00 today.
We extend our sincere apologies to our valued customers for the disruption and inconvenience caused, and appreciate their understanding and patience while we try to assist with alternative travel arrangements, where possible, for those directly affected.
Customers intending to take ANA* domestic flights today are encouraged to check the status of their flights with the ANA Reservations Center (0120-029-709), on ANA SKY WEB (www.ana.co.jp) or by contacting any ANA branch.
No international flights will be affected by this strike.
*The striking unions belong to Air Nippon, Air Nippon Network, Air Next and Air Central, whose flights are operated under the ANA flight code.
