Air Wales Closes Operation
27th March 2006 Loss-making Air Wales has promised to reimburse about 1,000 passengers affected by its decision to cease scheduled services from next month with the loss of 80 jobs.Having ploughed £30m of his own money into the venture over a six-year period, Swansea-based millionaire Roy Thomas yesterday effectively threw in the towel by announcing a cessation, from April 23, of the airline's eight routes. These include services to Brussels, Dublin and Newcastle.
