31 Hotels Planned For Dubailand's Bawadi project
16th June 2006 The next major phase of Dubai's tourism and hospitality development has been unveiled with the launch of the £15.4 billion 'Bawadi' project.Located in the two billion square foot Dubailand theme park, this ground-breaking development will boast the world's greatest concentration of leading hotels, including what will be the largest hotel ever built - Asia-Asia, which alone will provide 6,500 four and five star rooms.
Once completed, the 'Bawadi' development will be 10 kilometres long and have a total capacity of 29,200 rooms in 31 hotels.
The first stage of the project will see five luxury hotels open by 2010, with the opening of a further 26 hotels rolled out in four more phases through to 2014. The luxurious theme-based resorts will include Wild Wild West Hotels, Pirate's Cove Hotels, Land of Arabia Hotels & Resorts and the Desert Beach Hotel & Resort.
