FCO: Strikes: check before you travel
27th February 2012 The UK Foreign Office have released the following update:Strikes in Spain, Germany and India could affect your travel. Check our advice before you set off.
Germany
Strike action at Frankfurt Airport may cause delays and cancellations until 1 March. Passengers are advised to check with their airline before travelling.
India
Trade unions have called for an all India strike on 28 February. Transport and public services may be severely disrupted. There may also be public disturbances. Monitor local media and avoid large public gatherings.
Spain
The union representing pilots at Iberia Airlines has called for strikes on 29 February. Passengers are advised to check with the airline if they are due to travel on that day.The latest information on the strikes and affected flights is available on the Iberia website.
