Emirates change check in and gate closure times at Dubai Terminal 3

5th December 2011 In an effort to improving on-time departures in Dubai, Emirates have now implemented the following changings for all Emirates passengers flying from or through Dubai International Airport (DXB), Terminal 3.

Effective immediately:

* Check-in counters will close 60 minutes prior to departure. Passengers arriving after this time may not be accepted for travel.
* Gates will close 15 minutes prior to departure. Checked-in passengers arriving after this time may not be accepted for travel.
* Additionally, Emirates asks that passengers arrive at their departure gate no less than 35 minutes prior to departure. Passengers should clear Customs no later than 60 minutes prior to departure time.
* Any Chauffeur-drive passengers staying in Zone 1 (Al Garhoud and Al Rashidiya) will now be collected two hours prior to departure, instead of the previous time of 90 minutes.
