New route round-up

9th July 2010 Flybe will open seasonal routes from Birmingham and Edinburgh to Rennes, France on July 12 and 13 respectively, it was announced today. From Edinburgh there will be two scheduled flights a week until August 20. While from Birmingham, three direct flights a week will continue until August 31.

Lufthansa has revealed that it will increase its current 6x weekly service from its Frankfurt hub to Seattle

Another star Alliance member, Air China, has announced increases to Australia for its Winter programme. Its non-stop Beijing Sydney route will increase from 4x weekly to a daily. Its Beijing to Melbourne flight which transits via Shanghai Pudong will increase from a four to five weekly. These changes are effective October 31st.

Finally, Melbourne will gain a new 2x weekly non-stop service from Beijing to Melbourne from December 2nd, the only carrier to operate a non-stop service on this route.
