BA cabin crew to vote on strike action

7th July 2010 Unite are to ballot BA cabin crew on a new offer that could put an end to the lengthy dispute.

The union handed out a ballot yesterday to the crew it represents on the latest package proposed by BA management, which includes two years of guaranteed rises in basic salary from February 2011 and annual incremental pay increases.

Meanwhile, BA have announced that strike action contributed towards an 11% drop in traffic for British Airways in June.

The airline said the first nine days of the month were hit by industrial disputes with cabin crew and led to an 11.1% fall in revenue passenger kilometers.
