Lufthansa cancel Portland flights
13th July 2009 Lufthansa has annouced that it will discontinue its scheduled Frankfurt - Portland, Oregon service from September 12.Lufthansa currently serves Portland with flights 5 times a week but have struggled with falling passenger numbers.
Martin Riecken, Lufthansa: "Portland is really a relatively small market. And with the current economic downturn coupled with this fact, the demand wasn’t there anymore."
