UPDATED: Fog Continues To Cause Travel Chaos

22nd December 2006 Statement taken from BA.com

"As a result of the severe fog and continued Air Traffic Control restrictions British Airways will be operating a much reduced shorthaul flying schedule on Friday 22 December.

British Airways will be cancelling all UK domestic services and some European services to and from the airport.

A full longhaul programme of around 140 longhaul services to and from Heathrow is planned to operate as normal.

British Airways will continue to offer customers, who have become stuck at London Heathrow, coach services to Newcastle, Manchester, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh. London Gatwick is also affected by the severe fog with the cancellation of some services. Customers should NOT travel to the airport if travelling on one of the cancelled flights."
